eBay Auction Watch: Atlantic League Memorabilia for the Week Ending Oct. 25

Time for another installment of eBay Auction Watch, focusing on Atlantic League memorabilia. There were some nice items changing hands this week.

bb50_1 A miniature Regency Furniture Stadium, given to Southern Maryland Blue Crabs season ticket holders, sold for an amazing $510.

d01d_1 A team-issue, brand new York Revolution bat drew heavy bidding and sold for $98.33. I’m a bit surprised at the selling price. A similar Newark Bears bat went for $22.50.

bc6b_1 A pair of game-used, cracked Curtis Pride bats also hit the auction block. One went for $42.09 and the other sold for $26. The former Major League outfielder played for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs in 2008.

A “Long Island Ducks authentic game BP jersey” sold for $26.59. I’m not familiar with this particular style, so I’m not sure which year(s) it was used. And the description is vague enough that I’m not positive that it’s “game-used” in the first place. For the curious, Ray Navarrete has worn #16 for the past three years.

6a0d_1 A lot of manager’s carbon copy Atlantic League lineup cards sold for $28.99. I’m a bit surprise at the selling price considering that I was able to buy umpire’s copies of Atlantic League lineup cards (the top copy actually signed by the manager) for a few dollars earlier this year.

f309_1 A Southern Maryland Blue Crabs inaugural season baseball, given away this year at Regency Furniture Stadium, sold for $39.99.

90aa_1 A Lancaster Barnstormer ice cream helmet, signed by manager Von Hayes as well as Matt LeCroy and a number of other players from the 2008 team, sold for $15.50.

resize_4734a A bobblehead of Somerset Patriots mascot Slider, given away in 2008 at a Somerset Patriots game, sold for $24.99. A similar bobblehead giveaway of York Revolution mascot Downtown failed to sell at the same opening price.

5ccf_1 A War of the Roses commemorative t-shirt, signed on the back by 2008 York Revolution third baseman Matt Padgett, sold for $19.99. A game-used Atlantic League baseball hit by Padgett during a 2008 Atlantic League playoff game sold for $5.

A 2007 Long Island Ducks Media Guide sold for $6.50.

a8ff_1 A small lot of memorabilia from the Atlantic City Surf’s inaugural season failed to sell at the seller’s $24.99 asking price. The lot included two inaugural season souvenir baseballs and a pair of 1998 Atlantic City Surf baseball card sets, one of which had three signed cards.

b608_1 A poster promoting a 2001 playoff game between the Newark Bears and Somerset Patriots failed to draw any interest with a minimum bid of $12.

f8f8_1 A baseball signed by six unidentified members of the 2004 Bridgeport Bluefish and two mascots failed to garner the overly optimistic $100 opening bid. It has been relisted with a $75 minimum price.
