Earl Weaver, 1930-2013

Hall of Fame Baltimore Orioles manager Earl Weaver passed away last night at the age of 82. He had five 100 win seasons and a World Series trophies to his credit. Mets fans will remember that he was in the opposing dugout for the 1969 World Series.

  1. I remember him managing the Orioles in 1985_ that about when I first started following baseball. I believe he was thrown out of a game before it even started.

    Only Cox and McGraw have more ejections. He provided plently of highlights for the bloopers reel. May he RIP.

    I wonder if he and Billy Martin are going at it now.
